Title: “The Age of Imperialism”
Topic: U.S. Imperialism
Grade: 10-12
Idea: Students will know U.S. foreign policies on expansion and be able to explain why the U.S. was motivated to adopt a policy of imperialism in the early 1900’s. Students will access primary documents on the Internet (Ex: The Monroe Doctrine). Students will also do online activities to gain a better understanding of how social Darwinism fueled imperialist ideologies of the time.
